Beschreibung

The white-blue-white route initially follows the shore of Lake Sils, then turns into the lower part of Val Fedoz. From the Alp Ca d'Starnam, it crosses the slope below the Fil da Murtairac and climbs to just under 2600 m into the summit slope. The final and most demanding section leads over the rocky ridge to the summit.

The return path follows the same route.

Sicherheitshinweis

Difficulty: This is a white-blue-white alpine hiking trail; users must be sure-footed, free from dizziness, in good physical condition, and very familiar with mountain dangers.

The path was newly marked in 2022.

Depending on conditions, a rope and ice axe can be very helpful for the snow-covered summit section.

Ausrüstung

Hiking boots, provisions, emergency kit

Wegbeschreibung

From Maloja, the path follows the southern shore of Lake Sils. After about 2 km, you take the turnoff to Alp Cà d’Starnam (2024 m). From here starts the alpine, blue-white section with a long ascending traverse that leads at about 2580 m into the scree basin below the Margna summit. From here, the path goes steeply through the block field and a scree gully up to the north ridge.

From about 2980 m begins the most demanding (now well-marked) section along the ridge to the summit.
