Beschreibung

Starting from Poschiavo train station, you reach Via dei Palazzi, a district entirely built in neoclassical style.

At the end of the avenue, continue straight beyond the San Sisto hospital towards Cologna, then descend towards Prada. Follow the so-called "Praderia", the secondary road that crosses the green meadows and the crops of aromatic herbs used for producing herbal teas, until you reach Pagnoncini, Canton, and finally Le Prese.

Rhaetian Railway

Over 100 years ago, the Bernina Line was inaugurated. The train from St. Moritz to Tirano ran for the first time in 1910: 61 kilometers of refined engineering through the landscape crowned by the highest mountain in Graubünden. The line connects the impressive glaciers of Palü and Morteratsch to the Mediterranean lifestyle of the southernmost part of the valley.

The museum is housed in an elegant 19th-century palazzo, a pearl of local architecture. The history of the house is closely linked to Antonio Semadeni. The emigrated Puschlaver had made his fortune as a cafetier in Poland with great skill and had the palazzo built in 1856 on the site of an old farmhouse.
