Beschreibung

Starting from Poschiavo railway station you reach via dei Palazzi, a district entirely built in neoclassical style.

At the end of the avenue, turn right towards the baroque church of Santa Maria, then a farm road leads to Li Curt. You cross the village of Annunziata and cross the bridge and, following the left side of the Poschiavino river, on a path completely immersed in nature, you reach Le Prese near Lake Poschiavo.

Rhaetian Railway

Over 100 years ago, the Bernina Line was inaugurated. The direct train from St. Moritz to Tirano ran for the first time in 1910: 61 kilometres of refined engineering through the landscape crowned by the highest mountain in Graubünden. The line connects the magnificent Palü and Morteratsch glaciers to the Mediterranean douceur of the southernmost part of the valley.

The museum is housed in an elegant 19th-century palazzo, a pearl of local architecture. The history of the house is closely linked to Antonio Semadeni. The emigrated Puschlaver had made his fortune as a cafetier in Poland with great skill and had the palazzo built in 1856 on the site of an old farmhouse.
